| For those that have non-insulin dependent diabetes, Actos or Avandia may be one of the medications the doctor prescribes. Both of these medications are part of the group of medications called thiazolidinediones. These medications help regulate insulin in the blood by increasing sensitivity to insulin while reducing the amount of insulin circulating in the blood. |
